Right after Gwendolyn banishes Midnight beyond the scent boundaries of the Mouse Territories to sure death, Lockhaven begins to settle down for the winter season and Celenawe returns to the Guard. He almost succeeds in killing Gwendolyn but is thwarted by the well timed arrival of Celenawe, who fights Midnight while Lieam frees himself and fights along with Saxon, Kenzie and Sadie versus Midnight's followers.
